Borehole Project in Kano (2026)

In February 2026, DEAI undertook a borehole project in a community in Kano to improve access to clean and safe water. Preliminary assessments revealed that residents relied on distant or unsafe water sources, exposing them to health risks and daily hardship. Access to potable water was both limited and inconsistent.
The principal challenge was inadequate water infrastructure within the community. To address this, DEAI facilitated the drilling and installation of a functional borehole, ensuring a sustainable supply of clean water. This intervention improved sanitation, reduced health risks, and significantly enhanced the overall quality of life for beneficiaries.
What We Saw: Limited access to clean and reliable water sources.
Challenge: Inadequate water infrastructure leading to health and sanitation concerns.
Solution: Construction and installation of a borehole to provide sustainable access to potable water.
